NVR: Why is Surveillance Station plugin deactivated after the installation? (NPAPI issue for Google Chrome version 44 and older)
Last Updated 7 years ago

Important: The NPAPI support has been permanently removed from Google Chrome version 45 and above. We recommend using Internet Explorer as the browser for Surveillance Station Live View. For more information, please refer to this article.
The Surveillance Station plugin enables the communications between the NPAPI interface and Surveillance Station, and activates the video players embedded in Surveillance Station. To enable video streams, you have to install the plugin.

From Google Chrome version 42, the NPAPI interface will be disabled by default. It means that, even if you successfully installed the plugin, the NPAPI interface will not be activated. Follow the steps below to enable the NPAPI interface in Google Chrome.

  1. Open Google Chrome, and enter "about:flags" in the address bar.
