General: Why can't I use Hyper-V over SMB3 to perform Windows Backup on my Synology NAS?

The following explains the issues related to using Hyper-V over SMB3 to perform Windows Backup:
- DSM now supports Windows 8.x versions to perform backups via SMB3. Please upgrade your Windows security software to the latest version if backup errors occur.
- Windows Hyper-V is now supported on DSM to export virtual machine images, but is not supported to directly run DSM virtual machine via SMB3.
- Windows 8.1 will fix the backup problems concerning SMB on KB2919355.
