HiTi P525L shows Ribbon Mismatch 03 or Security Check Fail with new media. What should I do?

These are media-identification errors, not the same as Ribbon Missing. Verify the supported print kit and keep its paper, ribbon and identification components together. Do not bypass the media check.

Work through these checks
- Photograph the complete message and media-kit labels. Note whether it began after a new kit, partial-roll change or mixing supplies from different boxes. Keep the packaging and batch details for assessment.
- Check that the kit is supported for the exact printer and intended print size. Ribbon Mismatch 03 is documented as disagreement between ribbon size and the RFID-encoded size; Security Check Fail indicates an unsupported ribbon type.
- Follow the normal loading procedure with the correct complete media set. Do not swap chips, tags or spools between unrelated kits to try to make the warning disappear.
- If the message persists with a known-good genuine supported kit, stop repeated feeding and arrange assessment. Record whether the original kit and replacement kit produce the same exact error.
