Frequently Asked Question
Why are HiTi P525L prints cropped, skewed or showing a white edge?
QUICK ANSWER
Check page size, layout and media loading before making a small position adjustment. A template-size mismatch is different from a mechanical feed problem.
Applies to: HiTi P525L with supported paper sizes and Windows printer driver.
Work through these checks
- Match the application's canvas/page size, the driver paper size and the installed print kit. Check whether the app is adding borders or scaling the image.
- Use a test image with a visible rectangular border and centre mark. Print once with the intended borderless/layout setting and keep the result.
- If the size is correct but the image is consistently offset, open Printing Preferences > Tools > Position Adjustment where provided. HiTi allows adjustment along the print's length and width.
- Make a small recorded adjustment, then repeat the same test. If the paper is physically skewing or the error changes between prints, check loading and request assessment instead of applying increasingly large offsets.
Confirm the result
The test should be centred within the printer's supported layout. Keep important faces and text inside a sensible safe area because borderless printing can crop edges.
If you need help
Include these details in your ticket: App/template dimensions, driver paper-size and scaling settings, media kit and a photo of the complete test print with edges visible.
