Frequently Asked Question
Why does my Jabra Engage 65 not appear in my computer's Bluetooth list?
QUICK ANSWER
Engage 65 uses a DECT wireless link between headset and base. Its normal computer connection is through the base's USB connection, rather than pairing the headset in Windows Bluetooth settings.
Applies to: Jabra Engage 65 with its supported base. Engage 75 and Link 400 options have different capabilities and setup requirements.
Work through these checks
- Confirm the exact model and base. Do not apply Evolve Bluetooth-headset instructions to an Engage 65 or assume Engage 75 base features are present on a 65.
- Connect the base to its supplied power adapter and to the computer using the correct USB data connection. Confirm the headset is charged and linked to that base.
- In the computer's sound settings and meeting application, select the appropriate Jabra input and output. Check device detection through supported Jabra Direct software rather than searching indefinitely for a Bluetooth pairing name.
- If a Link 400 DECT adapter is being used instead of the base, verify its exact compatibility, supported firmware and pairing instructions separately. A generic Bluetooth dongle is not an equivalent replacement.
Confirm the result
The computer should recognise the supported USB audio path and a test call should work while the headset remains wirelessly linked by DECT.
If you need help
Include these details in your ticket: Exact headset/base or adapter model, connection diagram, computer OS, selected audio devices and whether Jabra Direct detects the connected hardware.
