My new Antigravity A1 battery will not power the drone. Is it faulty?

QUICK ANSWER

A new battery may arrive in its shipping hibernation state and need charging to wake. Check the approved charging method and normal power sequence before concluding that the battery is defective.

Applies to: New or stored Antigravity A1 flight batteries and the supported charger/charging hub.

Work through these checks

  1. Inspect the battery and connector without opening the pack. Do not use a swollen, damaged or wet battery. Confirm the battery and charging equipment are the correct supported models.
  2. Use the recommended charger or hub to wake a new battery as described in the beginner guide. Check that the supply, cable and charging indication are normal; a cable that fits does not establish sufficient charging capability.
  3. Let a battery outside its permitted charging temperature return to an appropriate indoor temperature. Follow the charger indication rather than repeatedly pressing buttons or reconnecting it.
  4. After charging, seat and latch the battery fully and use the normal A1 power-on sequence. Compare another supported charged battery if available, noting whether the problem follows the pack or the aircraft.

Confirm the result

The battery should show a normal charge indication and the aircraft should start without a battery warning. Complete any required battery-firmware prompt before later flight preparation.

Before going further: Never jump-charge, bridge terminals, open the pack or bypass a battery warning. A persistent charging fault needs assessment.

If you need help

Include these details in your ticket: Battery and charger/hub model, indicator pattern or error, ambient conditions, new-versus-stored status and results with another supported battery.
