Start Here: Omada Model, Controller and Support Information

ACE KNOWLEDGE BASE · OMADA

Identify the device, controller and site before planning a change.

Start with the correct Omada product and controller

Omada access points, switches, gateways and controllers can belong to different product generations. A useful support request identifies the device and how it is managed before any configuration change is proposed.

Find the right reference

Open Omada Network Support and search the exact model. Its Documents, Downloads and Release Center provide installation guidance, firmware information and release notes. Check the product region and hardware revision as well as the model name.

Prepare your support brief

  • Device model, hardware revision and installed firmware version.
  • Controller type and version: hardware, software or cloud service, plus the selected site.
  • The affected function, exact status or error, when it began and what changed.
  • A simple connection path showing the gateway, switch and access point where relevant.

For an existing deployment, ask the administrator to preserve its configuration and backup before planning an update, migration or adoption change. Do not reset a working device just because it appears in another controller.

Open an ACE support ticket with the information above and redacted screenshots. Keep passwords, cloud-account credentials and configuration files out of public posts. Our Specialist can review the next step against the actual product and deployment.
