In OpenSpace, different roles are assigned varying levels of access to ensure both security and functionality across our platform. This guide details the permissions available for the roles of Viewer, Editor, Site Administrator, and Organization Administrator across various tasks within OpenSpace.

Permissions Breakdown

Captures (360 Photos and Videos)

  • View Captures: All user roles have the ability to view captures.
  • Add Captures: Editors, Site Administrators, and Organization Administrators can add new captures.
  • Download 360 Image: This is available to all roles.
  • Generate Share Link: Any role can generate a shareable link for captures.
  • Name Captures: Editors can only name the captures that they have personally captured. Site and Organization Administrators have full naming rights.
  • Download PDF Report: All roles are granted the ability to download capture reports.
  • Create Shared Folder: Only Site Administrators have the privilege to create shared folders.

Field Notes

  • View/Edit/Add Field Notes: All roles can view, add, and editors can modify their own field notes.

*Editors can modify the Field Notes they create, but Editors can't add emails and add attachments to field notes they did not create.

Site Administration

  • Add/Remove Users: Site Administrators can add or remove users, while Organization Administrators have conditional permissions.
  • Change Site Settings/Add a Project: Restricted to Site and Organization Administrators.
  • See Member List and Permissions/Change User Permissions for Existing Members: Available to all except viewers. Organization Administrators can make changes with some conditions.

*Organization Administrators are automatically added to each Site within their Organization. Users can request Organization Administrator permissions by reaching out to support@aceperipherals.com and current Organization Administrators can update other users' permissions via the Team Management tool in the Admin dashboard. **For Site Admins they can only update the permissions of users who are Viewers or Editors, they can update other users to Site Admins but cannot make edits to other Site Admins or Org Admins.

OS Track

  • Access Insights Tab/Export to CSV: Viewers and Editors have access to insights and can export data to CSV format for analysis.
