In-Depth Explanation

ESET Smart Security Premium, ESET Internet Security, and ESET NOD32 Antivirus incorporate Anti-Phishing technology to block websites notorious for phishing activities. For optimal security, it's advised to keep the Anti-Phishing feature turned on (it is enabled by default).

Getting a Phishing Alert

Should you land on a suspected phishing site, a warning will display on your browser. While you can opt to ignore the threat and proceed, it’s generally not advisable to do so.

To verify whether Anti-Phishing is activated:

  1. Open ESET's main interface.
  2. Navigate to Setup → Internet Protection.image

Here, if Anti-Phishing is active, you'll notice a green toggle and an "Enabled" status. If it's off, the toggle will be red, displaying "Disabled" or "Paused."

  • To report an unrecognized phishing site, use ESET's Report a Phishing Page website.
  • For false positives, report through ESET's Report a False Positive website.

Both can be accessed via Setup → Internet Protection in the ESET main interface.
