General: Not able to access to Synology NAS

There are a few circumstances where you are not able to access to Synology NAS
- The NAS is not power ON
- The Network is not connected
- The NAS is faulty
- The power adapter is not working
- The mainboard is not working
- The HDD is faulty
How to Troubleshoot
- Use Synology Assistant to search your NAS.
- Physically check your NAS and the light at power adapter is having steady light.
- If the NAS or power adapter do not have any power at all. You may make an appointment with our support team to send in the NAS for troubleshoot.
- If the NAS still can be turn on but it just blinking light without a beep sound. Remove all the HDD (Please label the sequence on the HDD) and power up without HDD, as most likely one of the HDD is faulty.
- If your NAS can be detect by Synology Assistant without HDD and the Status will show not installed.
- Power off the NAS and insert back HDDs without one disk at a time and power on the NAS and search with Synology Assistant. Example you have three HDDs, you insert Disk 1 and Disk 2 and power on. If successful power up mean Disk 3 is faulty.
- Now your volume status will become degraded mode and you should able to access to your data, please find following link Storage: How to repair a Volume or Disk Group?
- If the NAS not able to power on without any HDD. You may make an appointment with our support team to send in the NAS for troubleshoot.
